Youth and their Families
Learn
On Sunday mornings, the Immanuel Youth gather at 9:15 a.m. in the Youth Room (#2310) for Bible study led. On Wednesdays, from 6:00–7:00pm, youth work on service projects or have topical discussions on biblical or societal issues. Passport Youth Camp in the summer and a retreat at Penuel Ridge Retreat Center during the school year provide additional opportunities for religious education and spiritual formation.
Belong
On Wednesday evenings, the Immanuel Youth sit at the "Youth Table" in Fellowship Hall during our church family supper. Once a month, church members open their homes to the Immanuel Youth on Sunday evenings, providing dinner and fellowship opportunities. Youth are actively engaged in worship at Immanuel as Scripture readers and ushers. The Immanuel Youth regularly serve as volunteers in extended session, and they assist with special events like Fall Fest, the Easter Egg Hunt, and the Children's Christmas Party.
Participate
Throughout the year, students have the chance to participate in a range of ministries with Immanuel's ministry partners, like The Nashville Food Project, Luke 14:12, and the Boulevard Bolt. Youth have participated in both youth focused and intergenerational mission trips, to East Tennessee to work with Appalachian Outreach and to the Joseph School in Haiti. Each summer, the Immanuel Youth attend Passport Missions, where they deepen their love for God and each other through Bible study and service activities.
