The Boulevard Bolt is a 5-mile Thanksgiving Day race on Belle Meade Boulevard that raises money to support organizations that serve Nashville’s homeless residents. This annual event was founded in 1994 by volunteers from Immanuel, St. George's Episcopal Church, and The Temple Congregation Ohabai Sholom. Over the years, the Bolt has grown from 2,500 participants to over 8,500 runners and walkers. More than $3 million has been donated to Nashville's homeless community through Bolt grants.

Luke 14:12 is a non-profit soup kitchen providing free meals to the hungry, homeless, and working poor of Nashville. Their mission is to address the nutritional needs of those who are inadequately fed. Each year Luke 14:12 provides over 37,000 meals to hungry individuals. Immanuel volunteers serve on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

Immanuel is one of 170 local congregations that provide shelter for homeless individuals during the winter months through Room in the Inn. On ten Thursday nights each winter, we host ten homeless men in Fellowship Hall. We provide our guests with a safe place to sleep, serve them dinner and breakfast, and provide them with sack lunches.

NFP believes food can be a powerful tool to foster health, belonging and justice in our community. That’s why they grow — organic food intensively and share resources with others interested in growing their own food. Cook — using recovered, donated and garden-grown food to prepare and cook made-from-scratch meals. Share — nourishing meals in partnership with local poverty-disrupting nonprofits and community groups.

Since 2006, Rooftop has been providing emergency rental or mortgage assistance to residents of Davidson County through a partnership with local congregations. Congregations all over Metro Nashville receive calls on a daily basis from individuals and families asking for emergency help with their rent. Rooftop not only serves these Nashvillians in need but also provides the churches with a program to help those who come to their doors.

The Next Door exists to empower women for lifetime recovery. They provide a continuum of evidence-based substance abuse and mental health services for women in an environment of faith and healing to restore hope and a lifetime of recovery.

Insight Counseling Centers exists to restore lives to wholeness - mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. To accomplish this important work we seek to: provide excellent professionally licensed psychotherapy to any individual, couple or family in our community; offer help and healing from a heart of compassion and personal faith that accepts and respects the beliefs of every individual with whom we work; raise and provide financial support to help those who cannot otherwise afford care.

Children on Mission

Immanuel offers mission education for kindergartners through 6th graders on Wednesday nights in Room 2314 from August through May from 6:00pm-7:00pm. The children learn about mission and ministry efforts locally and around the globe, visit Immanuel’s seniors at home, and engage in hand-on service projects.
