Dr. Jenna Gray-Hildenbrand to speak on New Religious Movements

Sunday mornings August 6th and 13th , all adult Sunday School classes are invited to meet jointly in the chapel to hear Dr. Jenna Gray-Hildenbrand, Associate Professor of Religious Studies in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Middle Tennessee State University.

We have invited Dr. Gray-Hildenbrand to talk about contemporary topics in American religion, specifically new religious movements. On August 6th she will lead us in a discussion of "Cults and New Religious Movements in the U.S. : A Very Brief History" and on Aug 13th she will share with us some of her own research on the topic of "Christian Serpent Handling and Religious Freedom." Dr. Gray- Hildenbrand is happy to discuss your questions on these topics as well as her own findings.
