Mission Trips

The mission of Immanuel Baptist Church is to share the good news of Jesus Christ, deepen our love for God and others, fully engage our neighbor, and wholeheartedly serve those on the margins of society.

Appalachian Outreach

Each year since 2010, groups from IBC have traveled to Jefferson City, Tennessee to partner with Appalachian Outreach, a multifaceted ministry that provides services to those struggling economically in East Tennessee. Team members have sorted donations at the ministry center, worked on construction projects, split firewood, hosted Valentine's parties for the guests at the Samaritan House, and served dinner to Samaritan House guests and staff. These mission teams are now intergenerational, with a strong youth presence and the involvement of multi-generational families. Immanuel also supports Appalachian Outreach through its mission budget.

The Joseph School, Haiti

Immanuel began its multi-year partnership with The Jospeh School (TJS) in the summer of 2013. TJS provides a world-class education to its students with the goal of raising up a new generation of Haitian leaders capable of solving the long-term problems of their country. The school has a firm commitment to teaching academics, leadership skills, service, language proficiency, and Haitian history and culture. A deep faith in a personal relationship with Jesus forms the foundation of a TJS education. Immanuel supports the school with yearly budgeted monetary donations and through relationships cultivated over years of visits to TJS.
