Appalachian Outreach Mission Trip

Immanuel’s ongoing partnership with Appalachian Outreach has flourished through the years. Fifty-four volunteers from Immanuel have helped Appalachian Outreach carry out their mission to minister to those living in poverty in East Tennessee through these annual mission trips. Immanuel’s ninth annual Appalachian Outreach mission trip is scheduled for February 9-11, 2018. We will travel to Jefferson City on Friday evening and return home on Sunday afternoon. This intergenerational team will be working at the Samaritan House again this year, helping with any chores that need to be done, hosting a Valentine’s party, and preparing and serving dinner. Teenagers and adults will be staying in the dorms at Carson-Newman University, while families with children will be staying in a hotel. Families that stay in a hotel will be responsible for covering their hotel expenses. Those staying in the dorm will need to pay $30 per person to cover their expenses. Everyone will be responsible for paying for their meal on Friday night as we travel to Jefferson City.

If you would like to serve on this year's mission team, contact Pastor Tambi at tswiney@ibcnashville by Sunday, January 28.
