Preschool & Children

The Preschool and Children's Ministry at Immanuel provides a range of opportunities designed to sow seeds of faith in the lives of the chlidren God has entrusted into our care. We believe that the church must partner with families to nurture the faith of their children so that they will learn to love God with all their heart and soul, mind and strength.

SPECIAL EVENTS

On the Saturday before Easter, the Preschool & Children's Committee hosts an annual Easter Egg Hunt on the front lawn of the church, and on Easter morning children help place flowers on the flower cross in front of the church. The 2017 Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, April 15, at 10:30 a.m.

Our Family Vacation Bible School is scheduled for June 23-24 - children must be accompanied by a parent or grandparent. We will begin with dinner on Friday night and conclude shortly before noon on Saturday. Dinner and breakfast will be provided, and adventuresome families can choose to camp on the church grounds on Friday night.

Our 3rd-6th graders are eligible to participate in Passport Kids Camp each summer. This year we will attend Passport at Maryville College on July 15-18. To learn more about Passport Kids Camp, visit their website: http://passportcamps.org.

On the Saturday before Halloween, the Preschool & Children's Committee hosts Fall Fest, a time of food, fellowship, and fun behind the church. Children of all ages are invited to wear costumes to this event, where children can jump in a bounce house, get their faces painted, play games, take a hayride, sample tasty treats, listen to a story, search for mini-pumpkins with flashlights, and go trunk-or-treating. This year's Fall Fest will be held on Saturday, October 28, from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

In December, we host an annual Children's Christmas party. This event provides parents with the chance to have a few hours of free time during the busy holiday season. At the party, children make Christmas crafts to take home, decorate Christmas cookies, sing Christmas carols, and hear the Christmas story. This year's Children's Christmas Party will be held on Saturday, December 16, from 3:00-6:00 p.m.
