Music

Immanuel has a rich tradition of choral music. Our Adult Choir is a volunteer group dedicated to providing meaningful music for worship. This choir is led by Dr. Jerry Warren, former choral director at Belmont University. His passion for choral music and the volunteer church choir is evident. His dedication to the group encourages regular attendance and best efforts. The Adult Choir is the primary choir for worship services. The choir also has a leading role in special programs during Advent, Christmas, Holy Week and Easter.

Our choral program offers non-auditioned choirs for everyone from 4-year-olds through adults. Our children’s music program consists of a Younger Children's Choir, an Older Children's Choir, and a Youth Choir. These choirs are directed by leaders who are committed to the music program at IBC and give our children experiences with instrumental music and choral singing. The Youth Choir sings in worship services and in special programs. All of these choirs participate in services during Advent and at the end of the school year.

Immanuel has two instrumental groups: handbells and brass. These groups rehearse weekly and contribute to the worship services by playing service music as well as accompanying the Adult Choir as needed.
