Immanuel Youth

The Immanuel Youth are an integral part of our community of faith. We do not view our youth as objects of ministry but as agents of ministry who are gifted by God to help Immanuel carry out our unique mission in the world. As we worship together, study God's Word together, serve together, and fellowship together, we are learning how to practice the radical, compassionate disicpleship taught by Jesus Christ.

On Sunday mornings, the Immanuel Youth gather at 9:15 a.m. in the Youth Room (Room #2310) for Bible study led by Pastor Tambi. Youth are actively engaged in worship at Immanuel as Scripture readers and choir members. The Immanuel Youth regularly serve as volunteers in extended session, caring for preschoolers during the worship hour, as well as assisting with special events like Vacation Bible School, Fall Fest, the Easter Egg Hunt, and the Children's Christmas Party.

On Wednesday evenings, the Immanuel Youth sit at the "Youth Table" in Fellowship Hall during our church family supper. From 6:00- 7:00 p.m., they work on ministry projects and have topical discussions under the leadership of Jimmy and Ann Conn.

Once a month, church members open their homes to the Immanuel Youth on Sunday evenings, providing dinner and fellowship opportunities. Throughout the year, students have the chance to participate in a range of ministries and missions sponsored by the church, like the Appalachian Outreach mission trip, Operation Inasmuch,  The Nashville Food Project, Luke 14:12, Legacy Mission Village, and the Boulevard Bolt. Each summer, the Immanuel Youth attend Passport Camp, where they study God's Word, interact with youth from churches across the Southeast, and deepen their love for God and each other. In the summer of 2018, the Immanuel Youth will attend Passport Missions at Furman University on July 2-7.
